Pre-professional B.A. in Directing (click for a tentative four year plan)

The Directing Track provides a detailed exploration of the principles, techniques, and practices of directing for the stage. Directing majors receive a broad-based training in a number of vital fields: acting, theatre history, criticism, playwriting, and theatre management in addition to the basic and advanced courses in play directing. Students work on variety of projects in the classroom, serve as assistant directors for department productions, and have the opportunity to direct their own shows in the Studio Theatre Playhouse season.
